BUREAU of Customs Deputy Commissioner for Intelligence (DCI) Romeo Rosales and Depty Commissioner for Enforcement (DCE) retired police general, Nolasco Bathan, met recently with officials from the United States Department of Justice.
The post from the BOC’s social media platform said the courtesy call by the representatives from the International Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property Section (ICHIPS) of the US Department of Justice and the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INLEA) served as a platform to exchange ideas on strengthening enforcement capabilities.
The discussion covered enforcement challenges such as the fight against illegal drugs and intellectual property rights violations.
Both sides also exchanged views on strengthening coordination and exploring opportunities for capacity-building support.
Heading the American delegation are, Atty. Edward Veronda from the ICHIPS and Ms. Chudney Ngo from INLEA.
