THE Bureau of Customs (BOC) under Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno announced it expects to earn an additional revenue of ₱3.6 million after the successful conclusion of negotiated sales involving seized and forfeited assets.
The accepted offers amounted to ₱3,642,101 from Fast Car Traders Corp., and Bengel Consumer Goods Trading for various idle assets, including a 40-foot container of assorted household items (₱280,000), a 20-foot container of wooden furniture (₱62,000), a 40-foot container of assorted commodities and household items (₱53,000), a solar panel set (₱37,100), coffee machines, water softeners, and other loose items (₱450,001).
The highlight of the negotiated sale was the accepted offer of ₱2,760,000 from Fast Car Traders Corp. for a 2023 Maserati Grecale Hybrid, accounting for the largest single transaction during the event held last July 1.
All accepted offers remain subject to the final approval of the Department of Finance while the proceeds are to be remitted to the National Treasury, the BOC said in its statement.
