VP Sara is at the right place and time

DURING President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s first ‘State of the Nation Address’ (SONA) last July 25, 2022, Vice President Sara Duterte came in proudly wearing the traditional dress of the Bagobo Tagawa, one of the native tribes in the Davao region.

And for that, she got immediately criticized by the ‘Makabayan Bloc’ that bunch of communists comprising the legal front organizations of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) in Congress.

These CPP urban operatives may not have realized it yet but, they just started a fight to their great disadvantage.

For one, VP ‘Inday’ commands the respect and support of the majority of Filipinos—just look at the votes she got during the May 9, 2022 elections, more than 31 million or about 4 times more than those of Sen. Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan, the CPP’s closet candidate for vice president.

This contrasted to the CPP front’s eroded trust from the electorate when from formerly comprising the biggest bloc of partylist in Congress at 5, it is now down to 3.

And second, VP Inday inherited, if not even surpassed, her father’s lack of hesitation to get embroiled in any controversy for as long as she knows that she is right.

Makabayan should remember that at one point, even Pres. Duterte acknowledged that her daughter, Sara is ‘braver than me’ (mas matapang pa siya akin).

Worse too for the CTGs (communist terrorist groups) that is the Makabayan Bloc, VP Inday, aside from her overwhelming mandate, has been given a wider platform to publicly speak her mind not only in her capacity as the vice president but also, an active role in the crafting of policies in her added capacity as secretary of the Department of Education.

If the CPP’s urban operators would like to downsize VP Inday on the belief that she got the education portfolio just so it can be said that she has “something to do” while in government and not just wait for the presidency to become vacant, they got it all wrong.

VP Inday purposedly chose the DepEd post because of her keen awareness that one of the ways to end the scourge that is the CPP is to put an end to their continued penetration of our education sector and their conversion of our own school curriculums to suit its one-sided violent agenda—the overthrow of the government.

VP Sara is fully aware that the CPP, thru their so-called ‘Salugpungan schools’ has been turning children, as early as 6-years old, into becoming violent extremists as fighters and cadres of the New People’s Army (NPA) as soon as they can bear arms.

And having this awareness, Filipinos should be grateful that we now have a top government official who has the credibility and the determination to expose and oppose the hypocrisy of CPP front groups.

And yes, we now have a public official who has the power to foil any evil machination of the CPP that targets the vulnerability of our youth and children.

In other words, VP Sara is at the right place and time as we wind down the campaign against the CTGs.
