MOA with CGH to expand healthcare access for BOC personnel

BUREAU of Customs Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno welcomed the signing last June 17 of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the agency the Philippine-Chinese Charitable Association, Inc. (PCCAI), that would provide affordable and accessible medical care for Customs personnel.

Representing the BOC during the signing ceremony is Deputy Commissioner Raul S. Nagrampa of the Internal Administration Group (IAG) while the PCCAI was represented by Antonio Tan, Chairman of the Board and Kelly H. Sia, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Through the partnership, BOC personnel may access medical consultation, emergency treatment, hospitalization, and diagnostic services at the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center (CGHMC).

The MOA offers relief to employees by providing discounts on hospital room accommodations and key diagnostic services such as laboratory tests, pulmonary procedures, and X-rays.

The benefits extend to outpatient care, making routine check-ups and follow-up treatments.

The agreement also outlines items not covered by the discounts, including blood-related procedures and products, professional fees such as those for arterial blood gas procedures, handling fees, medicines and medical supplies, and other services identified by the hospital as non-discountable.

Customs personnel are also advised to get the full details of the MOA and its benefits at the BOC Medical and Dental Office.
