PRA in high-level talk with UAE-based business group
A DELEGATION from the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) headed by Chairman Atty. Alex Lopez has flown to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this week for a high-level talk with officials of the National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) Business Group.
In a statement released last February 2, the PRA said the discussion would cover innovative and sustainable solutions for coastal and marine development, reinforcing the Philippines’ commitment to responsible reclamation and international collaboration.
NMDC Group is a UAE-based engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) conglomerate with five decades of experience in onshore and offshore initiatives that benefit marine sectors in the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and across the globe, the PRA statement noted.
The visit builds on the successful free-trade deal signed between the UAE and the Philippines during the 2-days visit to the country by President Marcos Jr. from January 12 to January 14.
Lopez said they expect to forge strategic partnerships to generating high-quality foreign investments that can boost the country’s economic growth.
The visit would also ensure that Philippine domestic reclamation and coastal projects can be implemented with sustainability in alignment with President Marcos’ inclusive economic growth policy.
