EU monitoring our elections is laughable

THE headline of One News (TV5) and Philippine Star (both Manny Pangilinan owned) online news on April 28 was both ominous and laughable at the same time. It said: “EU Poll Observers To Monitor Trolls, Foreign Meddling.”

This is right at the same week that BBM administration functionaries such as National Security Council gofer Jonathan Malaya is out in the media spreading the baseless scare of “indications” of China “interfering with the upcoming 2025 midterm elections.”

It is ominous because it signals the direct intervention of Western Imperialists in the coming elections to support the information war the government is waging to cover up the predictable cheating it is clearly preparing to overcome the mounting lead of the Duterte pro-independence candidates against the BBM’s pro-US candidates.

The cheating appears to be ordained based on the revelations of Isabela mayoral candidate Atty. Jeryll Respicio as regards the vulnerability of the electronic voting machines, as well as Atty. Glenn Chong’s latest exposé on the issue.

The timing and coordination of arrival, media appearance and converging messaging of the EU Election Observer Mission (EUEOM) with BBM’s black propaganda is very striking but not surprising.

The victory of the US-backed and sycophantic BBM senatorial candidates (“condidates” others say) is strategically crucial for the mid-term plans of the US proxy war to cripple Asia’s economic rise, which President Donald Trump ‘2.0 Tariff War has failed to dampen.

The stage is set for a repeat of EDSA Uno with election cheating met by Duterte “people power” this time.

These EU election observer missions are laughable as Europe’s conduct of elections are themselves in serious question today, with cases of electoral manipulation and sabotage by pro-EU and pro-war (anti-Russia) governments or by opposition factions in and out of government. Last year’s elections in Georgia and Romania were highlighted by “pro-West” versus “anti-Sest” patriotic political forces where the governments in power annulled victories of anti-West candidates, charging “Russian influence operations” or “cheating.” U.S. geopolitical election interference abounded.

Western Europe is no exception. Sahra Wagenknecht was robbed of her 5 percent win for Parliament in Germany for failure of as many as 230,000 registered voters abroad to receive their ballots thus ensuring the victory of the pro-war Friedrich Merz.

In France, the EU power elite engineered the imprisonment of top opposition leader Marie Le Pen and barred the leading candidate to run in the 2027 elections to preserve their rule thru their puppet, President Emmanuel Macron. The machination against Le Pen was so brazen it drew heavy criticism from EU leaders like President Victor Orban of Hungary and US Vice President JD Vance.

China has zero record of interference in internal politics of any nation. On the other hand, it is the US that has a long history of interference in the domestic affairs of nations all over the world.

In the Philippines, the US installed Quezon, Roxas, deposed Quirino, set up Magsaysay, deposed Garcia to install Diodado Macapagal, deposed Marcos Sr. in 1986 and installed the Yellow regime from 1986 to 2016 (briefly interrupted by Estrada whom the US also deposed).

President Duterte disrupted the flow in 2016 only for the US to return in 2023 with BBM’s pivot back to the U.S.

To have foreign election observers from the EU to “monitor foreign meddling” is truly ironical and oxymoronic. It is laughable and portends more controversy and chaos in our coming midterm elections.
