US, local lapdogs reel from SC ruling

THE United States and its local lapdogs are now reeling from the adverse impact to their vested interests of the unanimous Supreme Court declaration of the unconstitutionality of the impeachment case filed by the Romualdez-run Congress against Vice President Sara Duterte.

What made the ruling disappointing for them is that it was written by Senior Associate Justice Marvic Leonen, an appointee of the late President Noynoy Aquino whose subalterns in the disgraced ‘Yellow Movement’ are now allies of the administration. They were also surprised because Associate Justice Raul Villanueva, an appointee of Bongbong Marcos Jr, concurred with the decision.

Meanwhile, we expect independent senators and the ‘Duterte Bloc’ in the 20th Senate to conduct inquiries to restore our foreign relations policy back to independence and neutrality. This, while the Blue-Ribbon Committee under Senator Rodante Marcoleta is expected to start a cleansing of anomalous goings-on in the Executive Branch.

The Filipino people and the Supreme Court showed that our democracy is still viable despite the overwhelming power of the US-BBM-Oligarchy conspiracy to subjugate the country again under American hegemony.

In the past two -and-a-half-years, the Filipino people suffered from the unceasing anti-Duterte, anti-Sara black propaganda that include political circuses under the mantle of ‘legislative inquiries,’ filing of cases, the kidnapping and rendition to the Hague of the former president and along with these, the unceasing anti-China campaign. In the end, however, the masses awakened to the reality that all of them were lies.

American hubris, greed, and insensitivity– all heightened under President Donald Trump– got exposed to Filipinos in the lopsided trade deal imposed on them by Uncle Sam but willingly swallowed by Bongbong Marcos in front of global cameras.

Filipinos realized that our agreeing to the expansion of US military bases in our territories counted for nothing and American aid during emergencies and national calamities is always wanting. Instead of humanitarian support, what the US wants is to press us for more weapons sales despite our already bloated debts and despite the unending suffering of our people.

The SC decision voiding the impeachment also turned the tables on US Imperialism and its ‘Filipino chihuahuas’ “pre-emptive regime change” operation against Vice President. The months ahead can result to the rapid erosion of the power of the US-backed anti-Duterte forces as their credibility collapse.

Now, the Philippines can rejoin the rest of the Global Majority and ASEAN to ride the tide of human history towards the brave, new world of ‘Forever Peace and Prosperity’ of the rising ‘Multi-Polar World.’

Let us leave behind the more than 500 years of ‘Forever Wars’ of Western Imperialism and the ‘Rules-Based World Order’ under US hegemonism of the past 80 years since the end of World War II.

Let us thread the path towards reunifying the nation wrecked by the US’ and its proxies’ “divide and rule” strategy.

Meanwhile, China remains willing to “meet halfway” with us on all issues, as Chinese Ambassador HE Huang Xilian keeps reiterating.

At the same time, the remaining Chinese funded projects are continuing with the P3.13-billion ‘Davao Bucana Bridge’ having its final concrete pouring last July 19. By the end of ne4xt year, 2026, the P12.2 billion ‘Kaliwa Dam Project’ is expected to be finished, adding 600-million liters to Metro-Manila’s water supply.
