FORMER police general Noel Estanislao, another appointee of President Marcos Jr. at the Bureau of Customs (BOC), formally assumes the post of District Collector of the Port of Subic, considered one of the ‘juiciest’ posts in the agency.
Estanislao replaces Collector Att. Marlon Fritz Broto last April 28. Broto will now head the Port Operations Service (POS) under the Assessment and Operations Group (AOCG), the same position formerly headed by Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio before he was appointed as head of the agency by President Marcos Jr.
Estanislao was appointed Customs Collector VI by President Marcos Jr. last March 11 (see related article).
With the development, Director Ronnie Principe was reassigned back to his former position as head of the bureau’s ‘X-Ray Inspection Project’ (XIP).
On the other hand, Atty. Geniefelle Lagmay, acting director of the POS, is the new Deputy Collector for Assessment at the Port of Clark.
All the appointments were approved by Department of Finance Secretary Ralph Recto.
