Israel widens war in Middle East, attacks Iran
Netanyahu repeating lies on Iran similar to its lies against Iraq’s WMD
THE Zionist regime in Israel has succeeded in further widening the conflict in West Asia (Middle East) after attacking the Islamic Republic of Iran in the early hours of June 13, apparently with the backing of United States president, Donald Trump.
According to Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the attack, which targeted the capital Teheran and at least 5 other sites is justified to end Iran’s alleged plan to build nuclear weapons that would presumably be used to target Israel in the near future.
“Moments ago, Israel launched ‘Operation Rising Lion,’ a targeted military operation to roll back the Iranian threat to Israel’s very survival,” Netanyahu said in a broadcast later.
“This operation will continue for as many days as it takes to remove this threat.”

Aside from trying to cripple Iran’s known nuclear facilities, the attack, especially in Teheran targeted Iran’s top military leaders and nuclear scientists.
Iran’s ‘Tasnim News Agency’ confirmed that those killed in their sleep include Gen. Hossein Salami, Commander-In-Chief, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff, Iran Armed Forces and the country’s highest military officer.
Ali Shamkani, former head of Iran’s National Security Agency and adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of the IRGC’s Air Force, who was killed alongside two other air force commanders. Six of Iran’s nuclear scientists, were also killed, Tasnim reported.
Rubio denies US role as Trump flipflops
Right after the attack, US Secretary of State Mark Rubio issued an official statement and denied any US participation, claiming it was a “unilateral action” by Israel.
“Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region.
“Israel advised us that they believe this action was necessary for its self-defense.
“President Trump and the Administration have taken all necessary steps to protect our forces and remain in close contact with our regional partners.
“Let me be clear: Iran should not target U.S. interests or personnel,” Rubio said.
This, however, was contradicted by President Trump who separately posted a statement on social media that apparently put the blame on Iran over its refusal to immediately sign a deal with the United States over its nuclear program.

“I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal…but no matter how hard they trie, no matter how close they got, they just couldn’t get it done,” Trump said.
Trump claimed he also warned Iran that Israel has plenty of US made weapons— “with much more to come”—weapons that, “by far,” are the “best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the world” and that Israel knows how to use them.
Trump was also apparently gloating over the murder of “certain Iranian hardliners” who were killed in Israel’s attack who oppose the one-sided deal with the US, noting “they are all dead now.”
Trump also tried to scaremonger Iran, hinting the situation “will only get worse” because of “even more brutal” attacks planned by Israel unless Iran agreed to the terms of his proposed deal.
“There has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end.
“Iran must make a deal before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire.”
On June 15, however, when it became apparent that Israel’s ongoing aggression against Iran only resulted to partial success, Trump decided to backtrack by following the line of Rubio, stating: “The U.S. has nothing to do with the attack on Iran, tonight. If we are attack in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.
“However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict.”
Iran’s ‘True Promise 3’
If Iran was surprised by Israel’s attack, believing it would not come until the conclusion of its sixth round of negotiations with the United States on June 15, its revenge also caught Israel off-guard.

Just hours after Israel’s attack ended, Iran launched over 200 drones, ballistic and hypersonic missiles on Israel that overwhelmed its air defense network, causing massive destruction in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
The immediate revenge proved wrong Israel’s calculation that it would take Iran another 48 hours before it can launch its response that would have given Israel sufficient time to prepare its defenses.
Iran also claimed to have downed three F35 ‘stealth fighter jets’ and one F16 fighter jet belonging to Israel Air Force but this was denied by Israel.
Filipinos caught in the conflict
Citing the initial report from the Philippine Embassy, Department of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Eduardo dela Vega said four Filipinos were injured during Iran’s retaliatory response.
There are upwards to 50,000 Filipinos, both documented and undocumented, who have been working and living in Israel, the DFA added.
On the other hand, there are about 2,000 Filipinos residing in Iran, the department added.
Israel long wanting to destroy Iran
Even after successfully making the US invade Iraq in 2003 over its fake “weapons of mass destruction” (WMD) program, Netanyahu was already urging the United States to attack Iran as early as the late ‘90s, over its alleged nuclear weapons program.
But in her testimony before the US Senate Intelligence Committee only last March 25, three months before Israel attacked Iran, US National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard affirmed that Iran is not building a nuclear bomb.
In a post on X on June 15, ‘WikiLeaks’ shared Gabbard’s March 25 testimony to the US Senate Intelligence Committee, where she said:
“The intelligence community continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon,” Gabbard stated, adding that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had not reauthorized the program he suspended in 2003.
“The IC (Intelligence Community) is monitoring if Tehran decides to reauthorize its nuclear weapons program.”
The Zionists in Israel headed by Netanyahu have long seen Iran as a hindrance to its expansionist ambition in the Middle East where it targets to acquire more territories not only in Lebanon (Palestine) but also in Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia and as far as Iraq to create what they called, ‘Greater Israel.’
