BOC performs boarding formalities on foreign cruise ship
AS PART of the Bureau of Customs’ (BOC) continuing efforts to strengthen border security, personnel from the Port of San Fernando Operations Division conducted boarding formalities aboard the cruise ship MV Island Sky upon its arrival at the Port of Salomague, Ilocos Sur, on June 25, 2026.
The MV Island Sky is an expedition style, 6-decks luxury cruise ship flying the flag of the Bahamas that regularly plows the waters of Southeast Asia and even the Polar regions.
It has a registered crew of 70 and a passenger capacity of 118. It was built in Italy in 1992 and is presently operated by Noble Caledonia, United Kingdom.
The BOC team completed the required customs inspection and clearance procedures in close coordination with other port and maritime authorities.
Through their teamwork, the vessel was processed efficiently, ensuring a smooth arrival while upholding Philippine customs laws and regulations.
