THE Bureau of Customs (BOC) under Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno was recognized by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) during the Philippine Good Regulatory Principles Recognition and Awards Program (PGRP-RAP) last May 25.

Held as part of the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month Celebration, with the theme, “Achieving Results through Transparency and Accountability: Towards a More Productive Bagong Pilipinas,” the BOC received the recognition for its adoption and implementation of the 10 Philippine Good Regulatory Principles (PGRP).

The Bureau was among the government agencies shortlisted for the PGRP-RAP in recognition of the BOC’s commitment to advancing reforms that promote transparency, accountability, and evidence-based policy-making.

The recognition reflects the efforts of Commissioner Nepomuceno in strengthening regulatory practices, streamlining customs processes, and enhancing public service delivery in support of the government’s Ease of Doing Business Reforms and President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to build a more efficient, transparent, and responsive government under the Bagong Pilipinas agenda.

“Malaking bagay po ito para sa buong Bureau dahil patunay ito na ang reporma at malasakit sa serbisyo ay may tunay na epekto.

“Sa BOC, patuloy nating isinusulong ang Integrity, Accountability, and Modernization hindi lang bilang programa, kundi bilang kultura ng paglilingkod para sa mas maayos at mas transparent na serbisyo sa ating mga kababayan,” Commissioner Nepomuceno said.
