PDU30 trumps the communists—again

0 290
UNTIL such time that the communists open their eyes to what is really going on in the country under Pres. Duterte, they would continue to be confused, stupid parrots and yes, blind to their leaders’ long association with the country’s oligarchs.

These we have seen in their ferocious—but misplaced attacks—against the President over Congress’s decision to no longer give any franchise to ABS-CBN, for so long the “weapon” being used by the Lopez oligarchs in terrorizing the government to overlook its long and consistent record of law-breaking.

And we see their stupidity again during the State of Nation Address (SONA) of the President.

For while the communists, the fake liberals and their hoodwinked supporters are gathered inside the University of the Philippines campus demonizing the government on an assortment of non-issues, Pres. Duterte is warning the country’s oligarchs to really start becoming Filipinos in words and in deeds and sincerely show their love of country, beginning with their fixing of the mess that is our telecommunications industry.

In essence a “duopoly” between the Spanish-era Ayala family (for Globe) and an alien one, (the Salim family of Indonesia thru Mr. Manny V. Pangilinan’s ‘First Pacific’ that now owns PLDT/Smart), the President told them to fix the mess they have made of our telecom industry by December this year—or else.

To our mind, this is the strongest message yet by any Philippine president to our “ruling families” — just about one percent of the country’s total family population according to the Communist Party itself—that none among them is exempted from being penalized for their past and continuing transgressions against the ordinary Filipinos.

But busy as they are in the anti-government slogans that they have concocted in pursuit of the CPP’s standing order to make sure that the division between the government and the people remains wide by blurring the issues that can unite them, the President’s message to all of us remained ignored and unappreciated by these groups.

Indeed, so blind have these groups become that when the President last year ordered a review of the water concession agreements the oligarchs extracted from past Philippine governments and threatened to dump the US-imposed, ‘Visiting Forces Agreement,’ we never heard even a moderate praise of the President’s actions from the communists and their front organizations.

But it is by such pro-people and patriotic stand on crucial issues that is behind Pres. Duterte’s consistently high trust rating among all Filipinos (over 80 percent since 2016). Or, are they not aware of this?

The communists, other government critics as well as their foreign financiers and foreign political supporters can throw anything against Pres. Duterte, the kitchen sink and the toilet bowl included, but all of these things would be reduced to only one thing: irrelevancy, insofar as the majority of Filipinos are concerned.

Pres. Duterte has trumped his critics and enemies again during his SONA and for the communists in particular, they better wake up soon or end up in the trash bin of history.
