Iran gives Israel, Uncle Sam a very hard slap in the face

BOXING heavyweight champion Mike ‘Iron Mike’ Tyson once said, “Everyone has a plan, until you get punch in the face.”

And this, precisely, is what happened to the Zionist regime in Israel resulting from its criminal attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran last June 13. Iran fought back and gave Israel a very hard slap in the face that saw the Zionists reeling from the powerful Iranian counterpunch of powerful missile attacks that turned many areas of Israel looking more like the face of Gaza Strip that Israel has been brutally and intentionally flattening with impunity since October 2023. Israelis, finally, got “a taste of its own medicine,” so to speak.

US Imperialism remains smarting to this day from its embarrassment when angry Iranians stormed the US Embassy in November 1979 and made hostages of its personnel there for the next 444 days.

Just like Israel, America is longing for the day when it can also take its turn in punching Iran in the face. What happened after all, is not just a loss of face for America but also, its hold on Iran’s most precious resources: Oil.

When US Imperialism joined in attacking Iran on June 20, it too, got a hard slap in the face and got embarrassed again.

Evidence since surfaced that Israel and America failed in their strategic objectives of effecting a ‘regime change’ in Iran and in halting its peaceful nuclear program.

These are just the more egregious examples of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s nursery rhyme to lull the world into stupor as it proceeds with its expansionist ambition with the help of America and the West in the guise of its ‘right to self-defense.’

Importantly, both belatedly learned that even alone by itself, Iran can strike back—and very hard– against those who made Iran their “enemy.”

The result was the unsteady “ceasefire” that US President Donald Trump announced on June 24.

The respite was necessary as Trump now see that it is Iran that has the capacity to bomb Israel and all US military bases in the region “back to the Stone Age,” a favorite phrase among American warmongers.

In short, the ceasefire is not about “achieving peace” but a way to save both America’s ass and that of Israel from being roasted in the fire of their own making.

As a result, Iran just proved that Israel is not really a powerful country that can continue in its usual, merry way, of bombing anyone it dislikes in the region with impunity. Especially for the Palestinians, the humbling of Israel give them fresh hope of liberation from the illegal and brutal Israeli occupation of their lands going back to the establishment of the Zionist State in 1948.

The world, too, long awakened to Israel’s Nazi-like lies (“a lie repeated many times becomes the truth and “the bigger the lie, the better”) is not swallowing its lie that Iran aims to build a nuclear bomb to target Israel.

The similarity to Israel’s lies about Iraq’s ‘weapons of mass destruction’ (WMD) simply cannot be ignored anymore.

These are just the more egregious examples of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s nursery rhyme to lull the world into stupor as it proceeds with its expansionist ambition with the help of America and the West in the guise of its ‘right to self-defense.’

For the United States, the result of its criminal aggression against Iran is another lesson that it should have taken to heart: that when faced with a people jealous in guarding their national pride and national sovereignty, it cannot hope to win.
